Holy cow, these are soooooooo good! But like the seaweed soup, it is totally subjective because as much as I love these Mark dislikes them. Luckily, my score is the one that matters.
Black-eyed peas cooked with pork is a common way to cook them, and adding a little pepper juice is also a common way to eat them. But this recipe takes the flavor to a whole new level with stewed tomatoes and spices that work amazingly well together.
If you have the book, you have to try this one.
