Here is another one where Mark Wilson and I disagree on how good it is. He gives this a 4.8 and I can only give it a 3.
For starters, there is too much cumin in it. I like cumin but this needed about half what the recipes calls for. And the French dressing adds a sweet touch which is a just a little too sweet and doesn’t quite meld into a cohesive flavor when combined with the cumin and lime. It’s better with the lime as it tones down the French dressing a bit. I purposely kept the ingredients separate since there is no way the 2 of us could eat all of this and I’m glad I did. Toss the meat and you’ve got a decent salad out of the leftovers.
All in all, it’s quick and easy (one pan and one cutting board) but it just does not work for me.
