There goes my diet.
Cream filled and ganache coated, these little chocolate hockey pucks are very tasty. Well, when you use a WHOLE POUND OF BUTTER it’s hard not to end up with a tasty treat. In fact, it’s just a little too rich and sweet. Mark and I split 1 and that was enough. I got 13 out of this batch with enough scraps to make cake pops tomorrow so we have 12 more to eat plus the cake pops.
I can already feel my blood sugar spiking.
If you plan to make this I have a couple of recommendations.
- Use a bigger than 1 inch cutter for the center. I had a ton of filling left over and the cakes could use the extra moisture from the filling.
- Don’t lick the pan under the rack after you pour the ganache topping on the cakes. You cannot stop once you start.
