Corn – 3.8 stars
Okay, these were pretty cool to make but having done it once I doubt I will do it again. For starters, I don’t have a tortilla press so rolled them out using a rolling pin with the dough in a plastic bag – which worked! Secondly, a recipe whose goal is to be the consistency of play dough gives me a chuckle but is not amusing enough to make it worth the effort. Good quality corn tortillas from the store are not as good but also do not ruin recipes that call for tortillas. So in the end, the slight degradation in overall flavor is worth the time and effort saved.
