This gets above a 3 because I am judging it for what it is, not what I wish it were. It is a scone, and a bit dry, but has good flavor. It really needs to be paired with something juicy, like soup or stew, to really shine. I am making stew today so we will see if that changes my opinion.
Update – can confirm it is awesome with stew.
