Made with Homemade Pie Crust
It’s basically chocolate mousse in a pie shell so you really can’t get below a 3.5, and all in all this is a decent mousse. But it doesn’t have the texture I wanted to see in either the filling or the crust. The filling is too loose for me (and that’s after letting it set up overnight in the fridge) and the crust is too tough – not flaky and a little too much wrist strength needed to cut through. This was supposed to be dessert last night so the whipped cream had to sit overnight as well and this morning is a bit runny, too. I don’t count that towards the score, just explaining why it doesn’t have nice peaks this morning like it did last night.
A little disappointed in this one but that won’t stop me from eating it. 😉
