Excellent pie with a perfect filling consistency EVERY time. I liked it much better warmed. This is another one where it is worth buying the book just to learn how to get the perfect filling with the unpredictable juice content of apples.
You may notice a mangled can in the final product pic. I have found the ONE can my no-sharp-edges can opener cannot open. Sadly, the unused portion of the Dulce de Leche cannot be easily saved. I was able to recover a couple of TBS worth that were eaten while the pie cooked.
