Used in French Toast
I started off at 4.9 and asked myself, “what would I change to make it a 5?” I couldn’t think of a single thing, so bumped it up to a perfect score.
It’s a little (actually, mine was pretty thick) slice (literally) of heaven. Both Mark Wilson and I had 3 each this morning, and tomorrow I see Cinnamon Swirl French Toast in our future. Warning – you can eat a whole loaf if you don’t stop yourself.
Here is yet another recipe worth buying the book for. Not too sweet but sweet enough, and the texture is divine! It is firm enough to slice without collapsing but still light and moist inside. I did not have the gaps you see around the filling in her picture, which I attribute to how tightly I rolled it up after adding the filling, so take that as advice to really tightly roll it before you put it in the pan.
