Mmmmm. Comfort food. Every cook needs a good chicken soup recipe for cold days or for common colds, and this is one works on several levels to fit the bill.
This recipe has some versatility to it to be a quick meal or a “from scratch” snowy weekend activity. Since you can use dried egg noodles, canned chicken broth, and rotisserie chicken to make this it can be a weeknight meal with little fuss beyond the chopped veggies. But if you really want to get the whole experience to make it all you can cook the chicken, make the broth and noodles, and bring it all together to complete the dish.
I made the noodles from scratch using her recipe and have to say they are much better this time when cut bigger.
