This has an interesting flavor that reminds me of SOMETHING but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s a decent meal but plan ahead if you are going to make it, there are several stages and the pastry has to thaw as well.
It has a lot of onion in the filling with leeks, green onion, and red onion making up the vegetable portion of this dish…er…pastry. So if you don’t like that much onion you may not like this one. Speaking of which, puff pastry is on my bucket list of things to bake but not today because it takes hours to do correctly.
I did get a bit of a chuckle out of the fancy name for milk gravy – Béchamel. Who knew we Southerners were so worldly?
