Ever had cookies or bread end up a little burned on the bottom? Perhaps the pan was a little too close to the burner or you had to leave it in the oven to cook all the way through which was just a little too long for the bottom. Here’s a little tip for how to salvage your baked goods when a little burned bottom would ruin them.
If you have a box grater, the fine grate side will work wonders for removing a tiny layer of burn from the bottom. Just run the item over the grater using firm, even pressure until the burned area has been removed. In the picture below, the bun on the right looked just like the bun on the left before I removed the burned layer.
