I was hoping for better flavor because I really liked the idea of this dish, but the reality was disappointing. It is bland and grainy-textured. If that’s your thing then go for it, but it’s not mine.
You may notice that the picture of the finished product was not taken on the kitchen island. It’s gingerbread season and the island is now the main staging area for the final assembly. As it winds down I will finally be able to wrap the few remaking recipes … so close!
